Tigrate Tech / Rebound
Rebound Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 25, 2026
Last Updated: July 25, 2026
Rebound is operated by Tigrate Technology L.L.C. ("Tigratech," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when an adult account holder and the learners they support use the Rebound mobile application and related services (collectively, "Rebound").
This policy applies specifically to Rebound. The Tigrate Tech website Privacy Policy separately covers visits to our corporate website.
1. Who Rebound is for
Rebound accounts are created and managed by an adult parent, legal guardian, or educator ("Account Holder"). The Account Holder may create learner profiles and is responsible for the information and content submitted for those learners. Learners should use Rebound only with the involvement and permission of the Account Holder.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how Rebound is used, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, sign-in provider, provider account identifier, authentication records, account role, preferences, and account status.
- Learner profile information: name or nickname, birth year, grade or school-year information, avatar selection, subjects, and an account-linking or pairing code.
- Uploaded educational content: homework, worksheet, and other page images that the Account Holder chooses to scan or upload.
- Learning and generated information: extracted questions and answers, analysis results, confidence indicators, corrections, skill classifications, progress, practice worksheets, and responses to practice activities.
- Purchase information: product, entitlement, subscription status, expiration date, and transaction-related identifiers supplied by Apple or our subscription management provider. We do not receive full payment card details.
- Device, diagnostics, and performance information: device and operating-system details, app version, IP address, crash and error information, app-hang information, network request timing, screen and startup performance, and pseudonymous installation identifiers.
- Support and communications: messages, feedback, and information supplied when contacting us.
- Security and operational information: timestamps, request and authentication logs, usage counters, and records used to prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
We receive information directly from Account Holders, automatically from the app and our systems, and from service providers such as Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and secure accounts and learner profiles.
- Process uploaded work and provide reports, progress views, and targeted practice.
- Allow Account Holders to review and correct generated results.
- Provide subscriptions, enforce plan limits, restore purchases, and maintain entitlements.
- Operate, troubleshoot, secure, measure, and improve Rebound.
- Respond to support requests and send service-related communications.
- Prevent fraud, misuse, and violations of our Terms of Use.
- Comply with applicable law and protect users, Tigratech, and others.
Rebound uses automated systems, including artificial intelligence, to interpret uploaded educational content and generate results. Automated results may be inaccurate and should be reviewed by an adult or educator.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information as necessary to provide Rebound under our agreement with the Account Holder, based on consent where requested, to comply with legal obligations, and for legitimate interests such as security, support, fraud prevention, and service improvement. Where we rely on consent, it may be withdrawn, subject to applicable law.
5. How we disclose information
We do not sell personal information. We do not use learner information for targeted advertising, and Rebound does not contain third-party advertising. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: vendors that provide authentication, subscriptions, AI processing, hosting, storage, email delivery, diagnostics, performance monitoring, and security.
- Legal and safety purposes: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable requests, or to protect rights, safety, and system integrity.
- Business transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice requirements.
- With direction or consent: when the Account Holder asks us to do so.
6. Service providers
Providers used to operate Rebound may include:
- Apple and Google: account sign-in and identity services.
- Apple App Store and RevenueCat: purchases, subscription status, and entitlements.
- OpenAI: AI-assisted processing of uploaded educational content and generation of learning results and practice material.
- Cloudflare: application infrastructure and storage of uploaded page images.
- Sentry: crash, error, and app-hang diagnostics.
- Google Firebase: app and network performance monitoring.
- Better Stack: server logging and operational monitoring.
- Resend: service-related email delivery.
These providers process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms. We configure our providers to limit collection and use where reasonably available. We do not authorize service providers to use learner work for advertising.
7. Children's and learners' privacy
Rebound may process information relating to children because an Account Holder creates a learner profile or submits educational content on a learner's behalf. The Account Holder represents that they have authority to provide the information, authorize its processing, and permit the learner to use Rebound.
Account Holders can review learner information in the app, correct certain information and generated results, stop further collection by discontinuing use, and request deletion. If you believe information relating to a child was provided without appropriate authority or consent, contact us immediately at privacy@tigratech.ai.
8. Data retention and deletion
We generally retain account, learner, scan, report, and practice information while the Rebound account remains active and as needed to provide the service. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, operational requirements, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and security needs.
An Account Holder can initiate account deletion from Rebound's Settings. Deletion removes the active account, learner profiles, scans, reports, generated learning data, and associated uploaded images from active systems, subject to processing time and the exceptions below.
- Provider and backup copies may remain temporarily until normal deletion or backup cycles complete.
- We may retain limited records when required by law or reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, security, accounting, dispute resolution, or enforcement. Where feasible, retained records are minimized or de-identified and are not used to continue providing a deleted profile.
- Deleting a Rebound account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store subscription. Subscriptions must be managed separately through Apple.
9. Privacy rights and choices
Depending on location and subject to applicable exceptions, Account Holders may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal information, and may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Users may also have the right to appeal certain request decisions.
Requests may be submitted through in-app controls or by emailing privacy@tigratech.ai. We may verify identity and authority over the applicable account or learner before completing a request.
10. International processing
Tigratech is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Rebound, our providers, or applicable requirements change. We will post the updated policy with a revised date and provide additional notice when required by law.
